Greater Manchester Police tweeted out a picture of a woman’s handbag with the words “What’s she hiding?” Many people found the tweet offensive, many others had suggestions, and many just didn’t know what was going on. Here is the offensive tweet in question.

The photograph, according to the police force, is part of their ‘girls with guns’ campaign, which is aimed to raise awareness around the issue of women carrying guns.
