Bringing Meditation Into The Workplace

Doing something that has serious potential of helping me be calmer, more creative, more innovative … sign me up. I’m there. Oh wait. ***Sigh***. It’s meditative. I’m almost there. Oh hell, that’s kind of weird.

That’s what Aili Kuutan thought as well when she became a closet meditator and made the commitment to it. I’m glad she took that chance because it’s made such a difference in her life she is now sharing it with others at her Udemy course Experience The Magic Of Meditation.

What makes Aili different is that she herself was a reluctant meditator – she initially thought it was kind of weird. A viewpoint that many can relate to. What got me excited was to hear her talk about benefits of taking this time and using it in a way to refocus.

We were lucky enough to have Aili speak about the personal benefits gained by meditation practices and especially interesting was the idea of bringing meditation into the workplace.

She recommends that whoever is the champion of leading this at work actively participates in the practice. While it’s a bit hard to imagine all workplaces are open to this, those that do can potentially see their employees approach daily challenges in a more thoughtful approach, better collaboration, less conflict and increased creativity and innovation. It’s also a big win for the employee on a personal level.

Aili mentions that Arianna Huffington said there are many CEO’s that are closest meditators. With some coaxing perhaps you can get your CEO to start meditation at work. All of us can benefit from being more reflective as opposed to reactive. Check out our full interview with Aili Kuutan.

Check out this weeks full MasterClass session where we chat with Aili Kuutan. Previously Aili was a management consultant with Accenture and worked as a project Coordinator with Bombardier. Now Aili is a Kundalini meditation and yoga teacher, Duke-certified integrative health coach, speaker and she also moonlights as a company culture consultant. She just released a course on Udemy for people new to meditation called Experience the Magic of Meditation.

Join the MasterClass below to hear the full interview where you’ll find out how this same confidence and inner peace that you gain with meditation can benefit your business, your employees, your customers and profits.
