Chris Blue Is Named Winner Of The Voice As Lauren Duski Finishes In Second Place

Chris Blue is this year’s winner of The Voice as Team Alicia Keys took home this year’s prize. Carson Daly said that it was one of the closest voting contests that The Voice has had in its history.

Chris was the last chosen in The Voice’s early stages with being the final pick by Alicia.

Chris thanked Alicia Keys and said it was fate to meet her. He said he would Alicia to her word about helping him see this through. Lauren Duski thanked Blake Shelton for the chance to work with him. Aliyah Moulden thanked everyone for the opportunity to get to meet everyone on the show. Jesse Larson appreciated Adam Levine for believing in him and hoped it was not the last time that they would share the stage.

Jesse was fourth, Aliyah was third, Lauren second and Chris was first in the voting.

What did you think of this year’s winner of The Voice? Was Chris your favorite or should someone else have won the competition? Let us know in the comments section.

Chris grew up in a family of seven in a tiny house. His mother decided to put the family in a band called the Blue Family, where they sang at local churches. It later became the Blue Brothers and they performed across the Midwest and later at the Bobby Jones Gospel show on BET. After high school, Chris worked various jobs and even attempted to go back to school. For the past six years, he has worked as a worship leader.

During this time, he met his fiancée, Stephanie, who is from England. They have been in a long-distance relationship ever since. She’s been battling bone marrow cancer for most of her life and flatlined during surgery recently. It’s hard on Chris, who has been struggling with not being there through the hard times.

The Voice Social Media Reactions

The three-time Emmy Award-winning “The Voice” returns with the strongest vocalists from across the country invited to compete in the blockbuster vocal competition show’s new season. Grammy Award-winning artist Gwen Stefani returns as a coach this season, joining megastars Alicia Keys, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton and host Carson Daly.

The show’s innovative format features five stages of competition: the first begins with the blind auditions, followed by the battle rounds, the knockouts, the live playoffs and, finally, the live performance shows.

In the final live-performance phase of the competition, the Top 12 artists compete each week against each other during a live broadcast. The television audience votes to save their favorite artists. The three artists with the lowest number of votes are eligible for the “Instant Save.” These artists each perform a new song that represents why they should earn the save. Then, America has the opportunity to save their favorite performer by tweeting #VoiceSave along with the artist’s name. The singers with the lowest number of votes are sent home each week. In the end, one is named “The Voice” and receives the grand prize of a recording contract.
