Pamela Anderson wrote a letter attacking British Prime Minister Theresa May and branding her the worst Prime Minister in living history. Why is May the worst in Anderson’s opinion? The former Playboy model and Baywatch star argued that May was on her “last legs” in the wake of the Grenfell Tower catastrophe which is now thought to have killed at least 58 people.
Specifically, Anderson described May’s performance in the recent general election, which saw the Tories haemorrhage seats to Labour and lose their overall Commons majority, as “pyrrhic”.
“Theresa May, who won’t shake the hand of the victims of the Grenfell fire. Who doesn’t care about poor people. Who doesn’t care about justice or peace … The worst Prime Minister in living memory”.

These strong and harsh comments follow criticism that was already being directed at the Conservative leader over how she handled the inferno. May had been widely condemned for failing to meet with victims at the scene and accused of misreading the public mood in response to the deadly blaze.

Anderson is not shy about politics as she is now a leading animal rights campaigner. Anderson made the remarks about May as part of a plea for WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange to be freed from the threat of prosecution.
“But Theresa May – who kept him imprisoned in the embassy for five years – refuses to allow him to leave,” she said.
Assange has been holed up in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London for almost five years after seeking asylum as he feared he would be extradited to Sweden to answer allegations of sexual assault which he denied. Anderson also invited French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte to the opening of her new restaurant in France in July, and asked him to grant Assange asylum.
She wrote that she and Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn have a mutual compassion for animals, while saying Assange, 45, should be given compensation. She said “I have watched the recent UK election with great interest. I have cheered the turn in your party’s fortunes! You are clearly a decent and fair man.”
