Google Analytics: The A-to-Z Guide for Content Marketers [Infographic]

Using Google Analytics properly makes you a far more effective digital marketer.


The data you gather via this free tool can (and should) be used to:


  1. Formulate a hypothesis about your content performance

  2. Determine a questions to support it

  3. Create a report to answer the question with data

  4. Take action based on your analysis

  5. Measure the results

There you go: a simple five-pack. However, there are millions of possible ways to look at Google Analytics reports. It might strike you as confusing. It doesn’t need to be.


Andy Crestodina of Orbit Media Studios and I examined the language of Google Analytics and constructed the ABCs for “reading” your reports.
