When I walked into the WordStream office to interview for an internship position, the first thing I noticed were the two dudes throwing a football back and forth while sitting at their desks. Now, that may not sound like much to those of you with workplace experience, but you better believe it had my naive little college student brain doing backflips.

They let you play catch at work? I almost expected Jon Taffer to walk out of the bathroom and start screaming incoherently.

Now, throw the backyard athletics on top of a casual dress code, multiple gaming consoles, and robot coffee makers, and you’ve got yourself one heck of a place to work, partner.

To be more precise: according to the Boston Business Journal, WordStream is one of the 20 best medium-sized companies to work for in the entire city!

Last night, over 900 people attended the 16th annual Best Places to Work ceremony at Boston’s Symphony Hall. Quantum Workplace determined the 80 honorees by surveying employees across hundreds of companies and fielding information regarding compensation, benefits, workplace environment, work-life balance, and the like. Then, the companies were divided into five categories – ranging from Extra Small to Extra Large ‒ and ranked accordingly.

WordStream came in at #19 in the medium-sized category – up one spot from #20 in last year’s rankings! To quote Boston sports hero and Greek god of walks Kevin Millar: don’t let us get hot.

Of course, consistent greatness doesn’t just come from Xbox and automated baristas; WordStream employees enjoy a number of formal perks, too. An unlimited vacation policy and excellent benefits are just two of the reasons the team loves coming to work every day.

The consistently growing team, by the way. I started 3 weeks ago and I swear WordStream has hired 89 awesome people since then. This is the 4th consecutive year the company has been honored as a BPW, and that trend is showing no signs of changing.

Want to see what WordStream is all about? There are several openings across our departments. Apply to work at WordStream today!
