This is the type of beer that you can chug back cheering on the Patriots or the Eagles. This beer has a combination of lager and ale, with a slightly hoppy taste.
What makes Sam ‘76 such a revolutionary new beer is that this beer has an unmatched combination of refreshment, craft flavor, and aroma. Sam Adams experimented with both lager and ale yeast strains.
This beer has a great foamy head to the beer leaves good lacing on my Samuel Adams perfect pint glass. You can smell the hops taste is a bit hoppy but not overbearing a little bit tropical fruit taste to it.
Sam Adams brewers developed a unique brewing process that takes two active fermentations and blends them together to create a deliciously harmonious result. While the hop notes don’t hit hard, they impart some lemon, marmalade as well as some lightly tropical touches and a decent level of spiciness.
The finish is clean, lightly bready malt, with an aftertaste is bitter and citrus hops with light breadiness.
