For the main event, Kevin Owens retained his championship belt against Seth Rollins. Early on, Owens hit a hamstring kick to Rollins. Later on, Owens performed a huge flying elbow drop to Rollins laying on the outside.

However, Rollins was able to connect with a sling blade to knock out Owens. Later though, Owens hit the devastating running cannonball to Rollins in the corner. Another cannonball and Rollins moves out the way. Owens hooked Rollins for the Package Piledriver. Rollins escaped and kicked him in the head. Owens teasing the package piledriver is evil.

Owens hit a frog splash for a two count. Owens did the DX crotch chop to remind Rollins how Triple H screwed him. However, Owens could not connect with the senton bomb and instead went through the table alone. Inside the ring, Chris Jericho stopped a three count by putting Owens leg on the ropes. Rollins then hit the pedigree but the ref was knocked out.

Stephanie McMahon sent a second ref just as Owens hit a pop up powerbomb for the win. What did you think of the match? Sound off below in the comments section.

After a long and profitable stint as “The Man” under Triple H’s tutelage, Rollins was officially tossed to the side by The Game in the middle of a Fatal 4-Way for the vacant WWE Universal Championship, which was more or less handed to Owens on a platter as a result.

Following The Game’s decision to go rogue — Stephanie McMahon was allegedly unaware of his plans — Owens was officially annointed as the chosen one in a move that both validated The Prizefighter’s own years of hard work and positioned him as The Game’s new handpicked top star of Raw’s New Era. Rollins, meanwhile, was left jilted following his years of work in support of Stephanie and Triple H in The Authority, and Owens’ insinuation that The Architect had lost a step since his career-threatening knee injury provoked him into a fury against the new champion on Raw.

Stephanie was quick to suspend Rollins indefinitely for his display of aggression, but Raw General Manager Mick Foley, who wasn’t entirely convinced Triple H and Stephanie hadn’t planned the coup, vetoed the suspension and instead gave The Architect a chance to challenge Owens at WWE Clash of Champions.
