In high school, Lane played in a punk rock band with his friends who organized a self-promoted tour that took them all the way to California. When Lane was 19, he put music on the backburner to attend the University of Louisiana, where he majored in interior design. Once he graduated, Lane tried to work as an interior designer but discovered it wasn’t his passion, so he went back to music. When he isn’t gigging around Louisiana playing blues rock, Lane is a family man. He has been married to his wife for seven years and they have one son and a newborn baby.

Superstar recording artists Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys each claim a red swivel chair, alongside returning celebrity musician coaches: pop star Adam Levine and country music star Blake Shelton. Each coach selects contestants for their teams during the blind auditions, and can steal contestants during the battle rounds, which determine the strongest vocalists. The singers who progress to the live performance shows compete for America’s votes in hopes of winning the grand prize, which is a recording contract.
